About Minnesota LECET

The Minnesota Laborers Employers Cooperation and Education Trust (LECET) was created to facilitate and promote the positive relationships between the construction craft laborers and their construction contractor employers. This innovative program has a simple but powerful mission: to generate business opportunities for union contractors and job opportunities for members of the Laborers' International Union of North America.

Recognizing that there are areas of mutual concern that can best be addressed with cooperative efforts by labor and management, LECET's goals are:

bullet To increase market share for union construction firms by tracking employment and business opportunities
bulletTo create positive relationships between labor and management
bulletTo work closely with our sister joint-labor management organization, the Laborers- AGC Education, Apprenticeship and training fund to stimulate productivity and engage more workers in the construction craft laborer training programs
bulletTo advance business-friendly policies
bulletTo market and promote union construction
bulletTo conduct and sponsor educational programs for and about issues of mutual concern to both labor and contractors.

LECET recognizes that the future of union construction depends upon the ability of Labor and Management to address their problems and take advantage of their opportunities TOGETHER.
